Quartz/Salica sand charge
Salica sand and flint
Salica sand and flint
Purified salica sand is the oldest filter metarial. It is used as a particle filter and in iron removal equipment to bind iron hydroxide flakes. The surface of the sand grains is smooth and spherical, so the bound dirt is easily removable from them when backwashing.
We offer three different brands of silica sand:
- Hungarian washed, dried silica sand
- Danish sea washed, dried silica sand
- German washed, fired quartz mugs confirming to EN 12904
In addition to salica send we offer flint in various sizes as a filter metarial or as a support layer.

Manoxane
Manoxane
Manoxane is manufactured overseas specifically for the treatment of drinking water. It is used in many countries around the world. The raw material is high-purity quartz/salica sand, on which a catalytic layer is applied (manganese-dioxide).
The filter material is excellent for removing iron and manganese from the water. By using it, the arsenic content of the water can also be significantly and economically reduced. The operating conditions of the filter media allow it to be well combinable with ammonia removal technology.
The big advantage of manoxan is that it does not require a separate oxidizing agent dispenser, there is no need to work with potassium permanganate. Only a small amount of chlorine needs to be passed through the filter bed continuously for disinfection purposes and to oxidize iron and manganese.
Manoxane has a CE Declaration of Conformity. We are the sole distributor of Manoxane in Hungary.
Packaging: 14.35 liter bag

Manganese greendsand
Manganese greendsand
Manganese green sand is a black filter media material made from glauconite green sand. It is used to remove iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide and arsenic in many tens of thousands of drinking water filtration equipment around the world.
Manganese green sands catalyze the oxidation of iron, manganese and arsenic, converting their highly water-soluble compounds into insoluble precipitates. Then it filters them out. It can oxidize contaminants even without the addition of an oxidizing agent.
The exhausted oxidation capacity can be restored by potassium permanganate regeneration.

Pyrolox®
Pyrolox®
Pyrolox is a catalytic filter material made of high purity natural manganese dioxide. It has been used successfully for 75 years in drinking water treatment to remove iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide. Using the natural oxygen content of the water or an added oxidizing agent (air, chlorine, ozone, potassium permanganate), it converts the compounds into water-insoluble precipitates and filters them out.

Birm®
Birm®
Birm is an effective and economical filter material when it comes to the removal of iron and manganese from drinking water. Birm acts as an insoluble catalyst, catalyzing the reaction between oxygen dissolved in water and iron or manganese.
The filter material is very lightso a small backwash water flow is sufficient. The big advantage of the charge is that no chemicals need to be added to the water before it arrives at the filter. The water must not contain oil contaminants, hydrogen sulphide, polyphosphate scale inhibitor or more than 0.5 mg / l chlorine.

Activated carbon
Activated carbon
The activated carbon we offer is specially made for drinking water purification. The raw material is selected black coal, from which activated carbon is produced by steam activation under strictly controlled conditions.
Compared to other products it has a high adsorption capacity, density, hardness and good wettability. The depleted activated carbon can be thermally reactivated and used for other water technology purposes.

Hydroanthracite
Hydroanthracite
Hydroanthracite is used in multilayer filters. When backwashing, light hydroanthracite is layered on top of a heavier filter media. During filtration the hydroanthracite will be the pre-filter layer.
The filter media has a low surface tension. Contaminants thus do not adhere to it strongly and can be easily removed when backwashing.
Supplied in three different particle sizes.

Arsenic removers
Active iron hydroxide
Active iron hydroxide
Reducing the arsenic content to less than 10 µg / l poses a significant challenge to arsenic removal technologies. We offer an iron hydroxide-based adsorbent material that routinely meets the 10 µg / l limit.
Hundreds of m² / g of active surface of the product binds arsenic compounds dissolved in water. The equipment is as easy to operate as activated carbon filters. No chemical dosing is required and no sludge is classified as hazardous waste. The operating cost of adsorption arsenic removal is low.
